The statue is 123 feet (37 m) in height, and took about 2 years to build. The idol is designed such that it gets the sun light directly and thus appears sparkling.

Murudeshwara is a town in the Bhatkal Taluk of Uttara Kannada district in the state of Karnataka, India. "Murudeshwara" is another name of the Hindu god Shiva. Here is my review of the electronic device.

The eye garner arrived in my drawing room after flying across the globe for four long days. The frustration free package had kept the digital reader safe and sound. The sleek design and make of the device is certain to make those size oh models to walk behind the curtains shunning publicity. If you are bound to take long trips on the metro, you run into the risk of inducing the curiosity of your fellow passenger/s. And as it happens you are certain to be asked the following questions, and hence their answers.

Excuse Sir. Is that a Computer which you are looking at?

It’s highly impossible for someone in Chennai to address a fellow passenger in train as Sir, but added here for some professional third person touch. The answer to the question is a strict no. It is a digital reading device.

The first question is often the ice breaker and leads to a flurry of questions.

Does it have Internet?

It has internet for you to check mail and read blogs, forums, post comments. However it cannot display powerful sites like youtube, Google map and so on.

So one needs to pay heavy monthly bills?

Definitely not. Amazon has collaboration with the internet service providers. So you don’t need to pay for it.

So one needs to compensate on speed?

Not much. The device works on 3G. So speed might not be a pressing issue.

What is the technology used?

e-ink technology. So it doesn’t strain your eyes. Also you can read in bright sunlight, unlike the newly introduced ipad which reflects the light.

Does it have a music player?

Yes, it reads your books and plays background music.

What else can it do?

Read books, play MP3, Play audio books. Text to speech, surf the net (in black and white) and allows you to annotate texts, posts lines from your book to twitter and facebook accounts.

How do you get the books?

There are two ways in which you can use kindle to get your books. One, if you have the e-book, you can move it to your device using the cable and can start reading your first book. Two, buy e-book from Amazon store wirelessly (book price +wireless download cost bound to apply).

Can one read his own word, PDF, JPEG documents on it?

Yes. Connect it to a computer and move the files. PDF is not fully supported. However one can convert PDF into kindle format using the mail service provided by Amazon and use the book.

Can you read comics on it?

Yes. But it is awkward and in grayscale.

How long does the battery last?

Two weeks with the wireless connectivity off and one week with the 3G live.

What is the keyboard for?

The keyboard is to make annotations and enter search terms and general typing.

Can you check electronic mail?

Yes, text centric sites, mobile sites.

What is the device called?

The device is called Amazon Kindle.

How much does it cost?

This date, it costs 189$ with extra 100$ on shipping and customs. Of course there is a reimbursement on import duties (if excess).

Would you recommend me this device?

Yes, if you like books and if you need access to internet for reading blogs and news pages.

Where can I find it?

Here is the link Kindle Wireless Reading Device, Free 3G, 6" Display, White, 3G Works Globally - Latest Generation

Click on the below link buy the latest kindle.

Well, enough said and one last word. Many thought I had little to report. But if you were wondering on those lines, the news is: yours sincerely has joined Cognizant technology solutions and has little or no time to write on this internet space.

Cognizant, earlier (June 2008) made an assumption that ‘Anand could be intelligent’ (who knows why) and offered me the job. The humble I, thanked all my devatas, gladly accepted the offer and thus made one of the most significant moves in my life. And since the day I joined, my clock has never ended. Office hour from 6 o’clock in the morning has now kept the web addict in me ‘off the web’. Office cafeteria (which consists of four floors) doesn’t add much variety to my day nor does my project manager, who looks at my performance and constantly reminds me of Bangladesh’s batting average. But then, who bothers these trivial details when the girl from the next project gives those obvious glances.

Added to these, I find strangely usual people here. All busy but still making short conversations throughout the day. Normal hours, sometimes, they say something funny. Sometimes, they do. Uncontrollable laughter makes its way. I feel like laughing out loud. But I just don’t. I wait, throw my head back, find time to open my instant messenger, and type those three big letters. LOL.

God bless internet and social networks.

The Wave of Excellence

If you think “wave of excellence” as a newly released English movie which I watched recently with my friends (without paying a penny out of my pocket), then I would act as if I am going to kiss you (Whatever S you are in PSL) and then would blare in your ears, “Wrong”.

It is all about how people go to the next level in life. It is almost like wearing trousers after you are done with your underwear but certainly not as simple as it. This is potentially and rationally different and easily difficult.

What is Wave of Excellence?

Most in this world don’t give out their trade secret fearing the competitors. But they never realize about the flaw they commit. However the Japanese, sometimes give away their trade secrets to their competition. That way while the peers are studying them, they work on their next WOE (Wave of Excellence).

Smart. Isn’t it?

Yes. Just like me.If you didn’t comprehend it and if at all you don’t know about this Wave of Excellence is all about ask any of your Japanese friend, for they are the kidneys behind this dogma. It must not be difficult to comprehend and you would have clearly understood. But it does not behove a serio-comic writer to come up with a serious post and end it in such a note. So let’s try some other easily understandable examples.

Every minute you spend worrying about and benchmarking your peer’s “Indian Tie”, is a moment you've stolen from innovation, building a better and growing “Indian Tie” of your own brand. A waste of time. Completely.

Note: Replace “Indian Tie” with “thong”, if you don’t know what Indian tie actually is. Got it now?

And coming back to thee self, you must already be knowing about my love objects. One such beautiful prospect named Valentina, 5th grade; Kendriya Vidyalaya, never followed this tenet of life (WOE). In spite of buying her Rs.15 Diary Milk chocolate in the morning, she never allowed me take a glance at her answers during the exams.

Traumatic trivia”(Anand has had his own experience with the Wave of Excellence - a different wave though )

Days back (to be specific, on 10th August, 2009); I had an opportunity to experiment on such waves. It was the best day in my life till another wave of excellence was my way. Here is the picture taken just before the towel which was safely wrapped around my waist got washed away.

Location Courtesy: Tiruchirapalli

Camera Courtesy: Nokia N93i (The one whose battery power went out seconds after this photo shoot, thankfully!)

Marriages and The Mother of All Ailments

You all know that Love is one of the many things in my life which comes in plural form. Yes. I rejected the proposition. This was because I hated Kisses and Hugs.

Shocked to find such a well-born person? Yes. I always hated them in words.

A few days after this mail, I got another mail on 7th July. This was from my friend Abirami. The mail said, she was going to buy a new washing machine, Vessel cleaning and baby sitting machine at home.

Ah. Yes. You might not know. She was going to get married.

We know what the men do after marriage. What you assumed might be for the first few days. But then, such happenings are always known as history.

Guys can only dream about mouth-watering dishes, hospitality and related things.

I usually related marriage to a wresting match, referee being the groom, girl and her mother in law being the contestant. But if you are a south Indian and if you are from southern outskirts of Tamilnadu, you would have related the groom with scapegoat.

I heard rustle of noise when I said skirt. But it isn’t Sania’s. It is outskirt. She(Sania) has already bought saris and is buying a new washing machine too. Brand new and costly one.

Coming back, I badly wanted to be a part of my friend’s marriage reception. But I didn’t. If we had used time turner and been to the day before the marriage, you might have seen me getting a call.

The call was from Arun saying that “He has no incoming but unlimited outgoing”. I got the clue immediately. I decided not to attend the reception. We all know about marriages and the feast which are usually served.

On the night of marriage, I was sitting at home eating Ice cream, which I bought to equate myself with my friends who went to the function. I knew as to what the couple might have been doing then.

Try Eating, Sleeping. They might sound nice.

Before I went to sleep, I thanked god for giving a friend like Arun, who was like an alarm clock in warning me (Though his clock never ended). Had Arun never told me about his “Mother of All ailments”, I would have taken rest after rest and then been here to write Newton’s 4th law,

“Loose motion can never be done in slow motion”

And then with my superb form, might have wrote,

“God saves Groom,

Groom takes Broom,

And Clean gets the Room!”

Don't laugh people, "Everything is war in love and for the fair".

Anand surprises Tiruvannamalai residents

There was one thing I deeply hated about the B Tech degree to which I was wedded for a whopping two lakh rupees. It was the bachelor in it. I don’t know when I will part with the degree. But when I do, I am sure that I will be parting with a rib in my life.

The new options in my life have been funnily serious and seriously funny

Now coming back to my life for the past three weeks, it has been really tiring, too many places to visit and too many people to meet. Right from the day I started calling myself a celebrity, life hasn’t been that easy. Not easy at all. I was never able to make public appearances. I got irritated finding flashes of camera light around me. Don’t ask me, “Why you called yourself a celebrity?” Answer is so simple. Others didn’t.

But then, I was last spotted in Landmark, Chennai on 16th June, 2009 and then in Tiruvannamalai on 20th of June, 2009.

In Tiruvannamalai, as I was busy lighting a vilakku, I begrimed my fingers due to the carbon pigments in it. With intent of cleaning them, I rubbed my fingers against one of the temple pillars. Believe me, I found twenty three followers rubbing their fingers reckoning it to be a mode of worship. “Celebrities do have followers”, I cheekily told myself.

I was impressed by the crowd at both these places. If there was one thing that I loved about the people who flooded in to take a look at their heart throbbing hero, it was their patience. In spite of finding me amidst them, they never bothered to get an autograph from me.

They deeply valued my personal space. To tell the truth, I didn’t bother their presence and they didn’t bother mine. Only two things happened with respect to Anand and few of the beautiful girls. Either I looked at the girl and she didn’t look at me or she looked at me and I didn’t take a look. Ramayana (Version 2.0) jargons like “Annanum Nookinaal Avalum Nokkinal” never took place.

One of the reason why I turned unlucky was I never hooked on to a single girl. My college life was like an evening stroll in Spencer Plaza. You always enter the showroom where the best looking girl enters and leave as she collects the bill or as another good looking one turns up in the adjacent mall.

At few times, when I left myself to my own thoughts, questions which I asked myself turned out to be much more practical and realistic. It was always like “How Manthra Bedi’s gown clung to her own self?”

In such times of recession, (when guys went girlfriendless) I proclaimed myself as Nandu the Nerd. And here is what I did to turn everyone off and turn a few of them on. (Happens in a few posts)

By the way, let me make this post worth the read.
Often people asked me who my love object was. I usually shrugged them off in fury. But in few places, I asked them back in anticipation, “Will you keep my secrets?”

“Yes”, I often heard them reply eagerly.

“Even I do”, I shouted back at them making their face turn smaller. But it was not what I wanted to do now.

My title makes sense for one woman in this world– My Mother. To her I am a Rainmaker. I was waiting for my friend at Tambaram Railway Station. My friend was supposed to submit a document to my staffs. Since he was not able to make it to college, he requested me to do it for him.

Three calls in a row. And I found him regret, saying “Sorry”, all for a wait of just 2 minutes. Our friendship didn’t demand such excuses. And I was indeed happy to be waiting for him, despite having an exam on that day.

Couple of months before this has happened, I found my head of department calling me and asking me to do a bit of work for her.

I was busy with my sister’s marriage and inspite of that, I promised to do it for her. So I called up one of my close friends and REQUESTED him to do it for me. He did it for me despite his commitments (just because I REQUESTED him to).

When my head of department came to know about the fact that I didn’t take up the work myself, she was furious. She shouted at me and finally addressed me as “SELFISH”(which was too big a word). I looked back and recollected the way she had called me and ordered me to do the task. It was painful on me, just because of two reasons. One was that I agreed to do it for her despite the way she treated me, and then, I did the job in time as well.

I always shuddered to demand others to do my work. And I felt it as a matter of shame. But when others asked me to do it for them, I was always ready to. The only thing that I looked out for was, what those people did when I was busy doing their work.
Then, waiting for people isn’t a big deal in life. What really matters for people is the reason they were made to wait.

And the same applies in requesting others too. What really matter in life is the way you request others and not the kind of relation you have with them. And then of course, what you do in the meantime weighs too. And a second’s consideration about their personal commitments helps as well.

I have been moved by many people in my life. These people are the one who hate asking others to do their work. In near future, I will make sure I post a few good words about them too.

Mistake is really a mistake when you do it twice. Remember they are the best opportunities to make things better. I am finding new faces to my blog. So let me introduce myself to them.

True. I was born naked.

It was raining outside when I was born. This is the very reason why I christened my blog as RAINMAKER. “It rains on my words”, I boasted. Many of my friends have lost bets, challenging me over the row, the penalty – buying me a water packet.

Almanac said that I was born on a Krishna Jayanthi, and ROHINI, the very star Lord Krishna was born in. I too had the mark of ROHINI in me. The effect – I felt shy only when speaking with guys.

Multitudes of work kept me busy all my childhood through and I was known for my prodigious skills. Believe me, I kept crying and crawling at the same time, leaving people around me shocked.

My greatest achievement in life was the day I checked a hospital nurse, if she was wearing anything underneath her miniskirt or NOT. I WAS YOUNG – And I won’t tell the age. (The buried age could have either referred mine or the nurse’s)

And in school, I spent years without knowing difference between a potato and a tomato. Not a laugh. I am serious. I remembered tomato as T-for Thakaali.

21 summers since my birth, I have now found a philosopher in myself, who always wants to be known as a perfectionist. I wanted my words to reflect my clarity in thoughts. It did all the time. My primary pursuits and interest were reasoning and writing. This blog served the purpose. When I started this blog, I wanted to tell my readers a few things. Here it is.

The technology having changed every minute or so, has brought us so many inventions, one of them being the communication device.

Such devices have kept ever improving. Right from simplex, half duplex, now it has turned full duplex. Full duplex is the recent one which allows for transmission and reception to be done at the same time.

But know one thing? Man is handicap here.

In spite of he himself inventing full duplex, he cannot listen and speak at the same time. It is this limitation of his that he must understand.

In this crowded world, people often don’t listen to others. And they end up stating their own stand in issues. The result – clarity lost and disputes signed up, all for free.

It is this thought my readers need to know. Listen to others patiently before you speak. Half the trouble will turn into nothing. Understand the fact that - we go wrong only when we assume about people and things.

There are many people to whom I have addressed this thought. They might not be here right now, but when they do, they will know THE I in ME.

Teaching my readers my DOGMA

IT IS NOT A HABIT, IT IS A HOBBY. This is how Venki’s T- Shirt (My cousin) read most of the time. He hated it being WASHED and kept wearing it most of the time. But I was totally different. I hated myself washed. (I mean - BATHED)

“Couldn’t it be done another day?” I questioned back my mother, every time she handed me the soap and the towel. And at once the concentric circles which often appear in Tamil movies, starts to circle around me, making me visualize the amount of resistance I had put up the previous day.

Do not mistake me readers. I bathed on all BIG DAYS in my life. I took bath on all my birthdays, Valentine’s Day and Gandhi’s birthday. But for the rest of the days, I remained an anti-bather. (Laughing? You dirty people. I didn’t mean that)

I was always the kind of person who would stand against death, if the need arises, but I couldn’t resist myself when someone said “Hey, Anand, I didn’t bath today”. I always ended up pinching them saying,”SAME PINCH”.

“DOGS AND GOATS DON’T BATH”, I argued, when someone recommended me a bath. And I continued to quote that,”A bather to my blog is like a terrorist to a Nation”. But I still continued polls for my bathed readers.

I firmly believed in the fact that Bathing reduces body’s natural aroma. And for those people who couldn’t picture my words and were still profane to my dogma, I recommended Raj Kamal’s Embedded System and Balaji’s Probability and Statistics, which pointed in terms of P (E) that bathing reduces natural fragrance.

Having my own MY COMPUTER, I never believed in the SIVAGAMI computer. I preached my readers the same. But one of my followers in Canada was blasphemous. Having read my code of belief, he challenged and went against my conventions and he walked out for a stroll. “Rainmaker is nonsense”, he was last found saying.

As I told before, my thoughts often crept through peoples’ veins. This man was no exception. My thoughts must have certainly lingered in his inner eyes. For a second, he assumed himself to Neil Armstrong and took one final giant leap.

Then what? He was seen floating holding a log, ripped of his clothes, holding the last few breathe of his life, when he was rescued.

Ask him what bathing in Niagara is like? He will tell the rest of this piece.

Haunted thoughts!!

It certainly must have been a memorable occasion. Excitement was all around me. My college seminar hall was well lit up and ventilated. The Air conditioner which never worked was putting everyone into surprise. I could see Giridaran sir (My Lab in charge) carrying the projector to the seminar hall. He smiled as he went past me. Students were flooding through the entrance of the seminar hall. Girls were wearing sarees and boys were seen in corporate attire.

Minutes later I was walking into the seminar hall. On my either side were principal Mr. Balasubramanium and CTS Ashok Varadharajan. Ashok Varadharajan was guest of honour for the occasion. Department head Prof. Nalini Joseph was leading us. The moment I stepped in, the entire crowd stood up with respect.

I took my seat in the stage along with the dignitaries. First to speak to the gathering was HOD. “Today we are celebrating 66th day since the launch of Anand’s blog, http://anandsathya.blogspot.com” started my HOD as her voice echoed through the crowed. You giggled on hearing this. “Jokes apart” she shouted back at you and then, she continued describing the blog, its creation and its way through.

Next part of the event was lighting of the kuthuvilakku. Being a new celebrity, I didn’t even know how to pose for the photographer. And again, it was age-old custom and tradition in my department, to snap anything that ranged from ordinary to nothing. This juncture was no different. Instructions were to click all that the photographer can and pin them into the notice board.

Half an hour went by. Now it was the guest of honour who was facing the audience. He was supposed to read a few good lines from my blog. But he was unfortunate, that he stammered. The audiences were amused. The thing was - my blog contained spelling mistakes. Poor guy, he didn’t know to take grip over the situation.

A flash presentation was played as a part of the event. (It didn’t work this time too. No surprise there) Audience enjoyed the hot and delicious samosa which was served. As everyone dispersed to the classes, I saw few of my friends carrying the lab systems to the fifth floor. I meant the roof top.

I initially assumed that it was for a photograph on the roof top, considering the department legacy. But the system monitors showed mozilla fire-fox with my blog wide open. The title bar read Anand - A Rainmaker in the waiting. The task bar showed a running winamp skin. I widened my ears to hear what it was. It was playing a piece from Ratchagan album.

“kaiyil midhakkum kanavaa nee,kai kaal muLaiththa kaatraa nee,kaiyil yaendhiyum ganakkavillaye,nurayaal seidha…silayaa nee…”

Behind them were a few more students climbing their way to the roof top. But then, these people were carrying HOD’s laptop. This screen too showed my home page and the same background score. I closely followed them. BANG!! I heard the systems and laptop crash. These gadgets must have fallen right from the fifth floor onto the ground. What I last heard was their devilish laugh. They had finally taken revenge. Revenge for everything I did. I couldn’t avert the harm, for it was already done.

12 kilometers from the place of wreck I woke up with a start. (Perhaps, the same kind of start that Rowling gave to her fans in part 4) I decided to pen down a few good lines to my readers. This is what I managed to…

Enjoy whatever you wanted do.
Live life to the fullest.
Keep smiling.

I - The Rainmaker

I always wanted to be someone big in life. Someone girls rushed to meet and always wanted to speak with. But the only people who ever chased me were the telephone service providers. (It’s already March; I didn’t pay their last bill yet). The only people who kept hearing my hello tune happened to be Tele-callers from Credit Card Company and could add a few wrong lines to that list as well.

It was then; I decided to move to my own habitat, my den, my blog, where I hold the reins, and, where I rule the lines. (For the last few posts, I have been T R‘s greatest envy)

I decided to write. Write, by asking my mind its questions. Started shaking myself and asking my mind many a few radically stimulating questions. Most of them happened to be in the same lines as ‘Bhaiya, Hum Chlormint kyun khaate hain?’ and ‘Melody ean evalo chockleteya irukku?’ Answers to such rationalistic question were always like “Avanaa Nee” (vadivel kind of reaction).

Has been difficult for me to try humour, for I was a serious kind of person, who loves work, perfection and success provided they are bound together at one place. It reflected in my blog and the effort I took to write an article. But it was upsetting when only 6 followed. I think, the rest swallowed (I always knew them as Horlicks consumers).

My doctrines of rationalism were never considered as a doctrine in itself. But, just like the tea master, (yarukkuda tea athura - vivek) I will keep writing. My words may turn out to be too funny, but one day they will make sense. It will creep right through your veins when it does. I promise you; you will feel the showers then, for I too am a rainmaker (but right now in the waiting). Till my words strike your brain chord, keep visiting.

What is the title here???

I was already noodles (in outlook). Friend of mine, when introducing himself before a calm and hearing audience forgot the name of the school which he studied in. He started with “I studied in…..” and then what? Listeners roared with endless laughter. “Er …I will let you know when I recollect my school name” he swallowed and went small.

ATM centers are headquarters where your “_______” (that medical term which I forgot should fill here) are greatly publicized. Just seconds after the machine has swallows your card, you lose memory of the much needed PIN number. You close your eyes to re collect the code. All that your inner eye flashes is Nayanthara’s latest pictures. The insignificant numbers. (I meant the number of bangles she wore, the cost of her costumes, and her date of birth and so on)

Even in such a deadlock, your mind remembers Nayan’s lip lock. (Intended rhyme) You remember Shewag’s 309 at Multan, Anwar’s 194 at Chennai, 365 – the number of days in a year. But no maze in your cerebral nerves leads you to the pin number.

Next is our exam zone. Students taking up exams tend to forget answers to a few of the important questions. Runtime query to their brain often returns with “No records” message. Ask them to recollect devotional album, the lyrics zooms right before their eyes. Lines of the famous “Vaadi enn kappa kizhalangae”, though decades back, still lingers deep in to their minds. Our mind organizes a debate as to which charanam (The stanzas) is peppier? And you end up cracking jokes taking the hot seats of Solomon papaya, and impersonate his voice in marking your judgment. Those of you, who have experienced this mental debate during your exams, can have your silent laugh here, for I too am your ally.

Such radical background scores during the exam hours, often leaves students with CANNOT TELL ANYONE kind of scores. More such Ghajini’s are still lurking around us It could be the script writer of mega serials, the next street Muniyandi who has borrowed a few bucks from you last week, the Maths professor who forgot an important formula during the maths seminar, the class room figure who isn’t good-looking today (obvious – forgot the make up today), or it could be the much stir creating Ungal Nayagan J. K. Riteesh who forgot the Bad Boys story line when reading the Nayagan script and also lost track of the list of Tamil movies which has been out before. It could have even been the Tamil audience who ended up watching the Hindi version of Ghajini.

Most of us end up in situation where our mind betrays us. Leaving us in more trouble than what we actually are in. Perhaps, it is punishing us for not watching the Veerasamy movie in K TV last week (Starring T. Rajender and Mumtaz – irrelevant data- but still recollected here).
These instances don’t rule out the chances, for one such Ghajini’s to be your favorite and most widely accepted and loved blogger and writer. For he too might have wished to jolt out a few good words, but then would have lost ideas and ended up asking the readers themselves to frame his title.

Poll results – The mind-blowing responses

I appreciate those who have kept their spirit and managed to stay here for more than a minute or so. The most interesting polls are on the most thought provoking topics. Here was a controversial and informative poll (most), for almost four days. Mind-blowing responses you see.

I thank all the people who voted right from the bottom of my bath tub.

Do men prefer to stand and take bath?

My blog has always lived up to its name. 9 people voted for this poll (too many I must say for sure) and I am sure my mom would have declared it as utter nonsense and joblessness. (The poll, not my blog)

Most of the men prefer to stand and take bath. My friend and I had a row over the issue. Here I am to prove my friend wrong and myself right. (Close your eyes, young girls! Aren’t you feeling shy?)
I am making a basic assumption that all the people who voted are men. Believe me, i am not going to do that. I am no ordinary. Here is one from a young, energetic, bright, talented, enigmatic vagabond. Read on...

In real life, if you can find a loser, you are certain to find a bigger loser too. Most of them lost, lost and hurt by people around them. The world is such a crowded place, pretty much crowded. Here no one has time for others. It is hard to hold a seriously humourous conversation(really hard).

In this rush, someone may unintentionally hurt you. Don't make a fuss about it. It is in your hands to control yourself. keep yourself cool. Think that they were born to hurt others, whereas you to bring smiles. Make it clear that Charlie Chaplin was loved more than Adolf Hitler.

And for those who hurt others, understand that you will appear to be rising, but in the end you will lose what you started with. Love others and show them the love they haven't felt before. The Blog ends here. For those you who wanted to know more about the vagabond, Read on...

The guy had the habit of travelling a lot, looking for new places of interest. And it happened one day, when he was travelling in a crowded sub-urban train, one of his co-passenger stamped his leg. Well, the guy didn't pick a fight. Instead he just said "Ouch, my toe!" and moved on. I pity the readers who still didn't get his identity right. And here is the final clue... His blog post
ends here! ;-);-)

The Change from your Within

Thanks for all the positive response for my newly created blog and my previous post. And it is time for us to focus on bigger things. I have been a writer of sorts, and this is an attempt to rake up all those scattered leaves and pile them up neatly. I'm still a caterpillar gorging on your appreciation and feedback, and hopefully one day a butterfly will emerge. :)

One of my friend was telling me that he was having the hardest time of his life and career. He felt like he was lost. Lost in his every nerve, his every cell. Having got placed in a reputed company, his employer hasn't called him (the market being down) and he was clueless as what is in store for him in the next few months, and for the next few years as well. Dear friend, this blog post is for people like you.

I remember a sports article, which i read recently, "Paes- Not slowing down his pace". At 35, Indian Tennis ace, Leander Paes still dreams of appearing in one more olympics, the London games in 2012, and also plans to win a few more slam crowns on the way. This is the kind of zeal which we just posses to reach greater heights in our life. Leander Paes is just one such epitome for us. There are more such ones around us. It is time for us to stop complaining about our lives, our miseries. We have all oppurtunity around us. We must start our journey towards them and keep enjoying our path too.

We have been and are our Biggest Enemy. And then, here is the better thing. We are our greatest benefactors. Overcoming yourself, your fears, your wrong beliefs, empower your life for a great future. You deserve the best in your financial, social, personal and academic life. Your destiny is for you to create and control.
This blog post is dedicated to help you achieve the results you want in your life. Don't wait for the change to occur. Create one from your within. Let me know what efforts you have put in.

Awaiting your comments...

I'm No Longer Ordinary

I am special. And here's the beautiful thing: SO ARE YOU. Saying that I'm ordinary is to deny the gifts that have been given to me. And you classifying yourself as ordinary is to make the very same mistake. Let's choose not to do it anymore, ok?

No one walking the planet today is ordinary. Yes, too many have forgotten that they have remarkable gifts living within them and extraordinary potential to craft strikingly great lives and the power to be the change that they most wish they could see in the world (to paraphrase The Mahatma). Yes, too many people have resigned themselves to mediocrity and coasting through their days because they actually have been seduced into believing the liars in their minds that are nothing more than the voices of their fear (aka doubt). Yes, too many people actually believe in the false reality that The Great Ones (in business, arts, sciences, society) are different (and smarter/faster/stronger/luckier...include your own Excuse of Choice here). But none of that's Truth. Is it? (And Leadership is a Hunt for The Truth).

We have great gifts that long to be sculpted into our own unique form of genius. We have authentic power that aches to be awakened and then used for a worthwhile purpose. We have potential that - if realized - could profoundly elevate organizations and communities and nations...and so The World. There's not a single person alive today that doesn't have the potential to positively influence a cast of thousands if they get out of their own way (by breaking through their doubts, fears and excuses) and act as the person that they truly are. Please think about that idea. No extra people on this planet. We all have Calls on Our Lives. So no, I'm not ordinary (and I will no longer disrespect myself by saying that; the words we use have staggering power to create our reality). And the thing that makes me just as happy. Neither are you. Remember that.

P.S. Please share this blog with all those you know who will benefit by it. It's a pretty powerful idea I think - that none of us is ordinary. And an idea that has the potential to help someone see themself -and their ability to make a difference in a whole new way. Please help me to do so. Let's work together here.

Anand

Let me put things straight away. You are reading about someone who is seriously funny and funnily serious. Here is a quick interview with Anand, where he answers his own questions.

About the first cry?

I was born in a city whose every street comprises more buffaloes, dogs, cats than it could actually accommodate. And like rest of the homosapiens, I was also born naked. I still don't know as to how shy the nurse must have felt on seeing me.

About Anand's childhood?

I had the perfect childhood. This was because I used to watch super human samurai - Syber squad and ruffians were defeated in 20 minutes all the time. Like rest of the children, I too had the dreams of becoming a police officer ( I once had a police dress in my wardrobe, which was accompanied with a Diwali pistol). I was too poor in my studies initially. This was because i spent half my time looking at the girl who sat near next to me. She said she wanted to turn into a pilot, but ended up in commerce group.

About Anand's Education?

In college, I took up Information Technology as my branch of study. I was a bit unfortunate in selecting my college though. This was because the adjacent college had a greater number of good looking girls (though all of them had boy friends). Only consolation was that the route bus stopped at both the places. Absence of these areas of Interests made me to take a second look at programming.

Here is an interesting question, your Love?

Love is one of the many things in my life, which comes in plural form. I love people without the urge to make them mine. Remember girls, you don't find guys with such a character often. So better gear up right now.Living is a crowded city is blessing. This is because you fill find pretty faces, with their pretty legs stamping your toes.

What are Anand's interests and activities?

My primary interests are programming and writing. In addition to this, I spend quality time reading magazines, books, learning new technologies.

In real life?

In real life , I am a serious person.

Sincere, Perfection, Honest, Hard work and perseverance are few of the words which easily relate to my character. I am a lover of solitude and I pursue multitudes of interests in my life. I always want to be known as a person who knows many things about many things. I believe that people have potential in them which others don't know about and is often under-estimated, And I work in such a way that my presence makes all the difference to my surrounding.
